Camí de Cavalls
Walking the Camí de Cavalls path is arguably the best way to experience all aspects of Menorca: its wonderful landscape, its cuisine, its culture and history. The island has been declared a Biosphere Reserve because of its extraordinary natural heritage.
The Camí de Cavalls has a special significance for the local population, and not simply a historical one. The resurgence of the path is the result of hard work on behalf of many people, who believed it should be available as a public right of way, for cultural and social, as well as historical reasons.
Ciutadella de Menorca
Ciutadella is the largest city on the island and a popular tourist destination. The city is located on a natural harbor on the west coast of Menorca. Worth seeing is the historic old town and also the harbor with typical pubs and restaurants. The center of the old town is the gothic Cathedral of Santa Maria de Ciutadella.
Due to the grandiose architecture of the many palaces and churches Ciutadella has its own character and a very Spanish atmosphere. The city was declared a historic monument.
